About Us

Thursday, August 15th through Saturday, August 17th young single adults (ages 18-35) in the Northern Nevada Region are invited to ​attend the “Finding Home in Christ” Conference. All interested in participating are invited to sign up using our Registration Form link ​below.


The goals of our conference are as follows:

• the importance of making and keeping sacred covenants within the House of the Lord

• highlighting Nevada as a place where individuals can come closer to Christ

• building a more effective ‘gathering place’ where healthy relationships and greater knowledge of divine identities can be fostered

FAQs

Q: What if I am outside the 18-35 age range mentioned in the ‘About Us’ section? Can I still attend?

A: The ‘Finding Home in Christ’ Conference has been planned and organized with the age range of attendees consisting of individuals 18 years old who have graduated high school up to 35 years old specifically in mind. However, if you are outside of these qualifications, we encourage you to speak with your ward’s Bishop. Upon further discussion, your attendance may be considered or denied as seen fit by individual circumstances.

Q: Can I bring a friend?

A: Yes! All who meet the attendance requirements are invited to fill out the Registration form with the provided link above. (mentioned towards the bottom - details of events/activities to appear prior)

Q: What do I need to bring with me?

A: Check out our event schedule to help you assess what type of things would be good to bring. Also, be sure to check your ​inbox for the email you provided when filling out the Registration form. Our Communications has sent a couple emails with ​updates.

Q: Where will it be held?

A: Check out the schedule for the locations we will be at throughout the Conference there are 4 of them total, if you are ​attending a Temple session at the Reno NV Temple on Saturday, Aug 17th.

Q: What will be happening at the event?

A: During the duration of the Conference several options and opportunities relating to the three goals outlined in the ‘About ​Us’ section will be offered for attendees to participate in. Some of these events include: a Conference Kickoff & Sendoff, an ​afternoon up at Tahoe/Truckee, a special musical performances by Nicole Pinnell, rotating workshops & a message from our ​keynote speaker. Q: How do we participate in attending the Temple during the Conference?

A: Saturday, Aug 17th we would like to have as many YSAs attending the Temple during the morning as possible. In order to secure a seat in the ordinance of your preference, we highly encourage all who desire to participate in this opportunity to schedule your seat as soon as possible. The option to schedule will be offered at the end of the Registration form.

Q: Is there a dress code that will be expected to be followed by those who attend?

A: Casual clothes are welcome! Participants are encouraged to follow Church standards and are reminded of the agreement signed as part of registration.

Q: Will accommodations be provided?

A: The details regarding accommodations are outlined as follows, at this time (updates may be provided later on):

Food

If you have any particular food considerations, we invite you to fill out the applicable section in the Registration

form to make us aware of your needs and concerns. If you have any specific concerns you wish to address

personally, we ask you to contact one of our Conference organizers or send an email to our affiliated Conference

email info@renoysa.org.

Housing

Please indicate your Housing needs in the Registration form.

Transport

Transport is expected to be covered by the individual. Carpooling options may be available for travel to alternate

locations.
